NEUROARTS DALLAS.

The Ecosystem

A living network of artists, scientists, engineers, educators, and institutions  ·  connected by a shared belief that art can make the invisible visible, and that everyone deserves access to both.

THE FRAMEWORK

Four disciplines.
One question.

🧠

The autonomic nervous system as subject and material. HRV, stress response, and perceptual change as data the body already holds  ·  we make it visible.

Merleau-Ponty's invisible remainder. Seeing as relational, never passive. Installation as the space where the body encounters what usually slips past it.

Biofeedback sensors, real-time firmware, LED systems, and audio engines  ·  engineering that closes the loop between internal state and external experience.

Bringing work to underserved and non-traditional venues. Art and health data belong to everyone. The installation travels to where the audience is.

Between Beats,
Made Visible

Biofeedback installation · LED canvas · Audio

Participants enter a chamber of suspended translucent fabric and soft projection. Non-invasive heart-rate sensors translate live HRV data into color, light movement, and sound  ·  making the autonomic nervous system visible and audible in real time. When multiple participants engage simultaneously, the projection responds to aggregate rhythms, emphasizing that emotional states are relational.

DEVELOPING

olo

Installation · In development

A developing installation exploring new territory within the NeuroArts Dallas research framework  ·  extending the inquiry into perception, presence, and the body's invisible states through new materials and spatial configurations.

Clear Sky
Series

Material investigation · Film & light

Experiments with holographic film  ·  a material whose micro-grooves fracture light into shifting colors, so reflections never fully settle. Outdoors, wind and sunlight activate the surface. Indoors, projected light behind the painted reverse side makes absence visible on the front. The film becomes a record of shifting relationships between light, bodies, and movement.
